Help With The 2008 Website

1. Browser + Plug-in problems
While every effort is made to ensure that the 2008 site is useable with any current browser (Internet Explorer 5+, Netscape 6+, ...), some earlier versions of these browsers may not show all content correctly, or provide the same ease of navigation. We recommend that you update older browsers, for this site and for much of the other content on depauw.edu.

To view some areas of the 2008 site, you'll need both the Flash 6 plug-in and the Quicktime plug-in for your browser, but they are optional; you can still access all critical information without them. Most current browsers come with these installed, but you can download them using the following links:

2. Navigation
Navigating around the 2008 site is fairly straightforward. There are pull-down menus at the top of each page. These menus are the same on every page in the site, with headings named WELCOME, ACADEMICS and ORIENTATION. The INTERACT menu is at the bottom of each page, with links to the interactive content of the site. Navigation within subsites is also performed using links in the left-hand column, where appropriate. For other navigation questions, or to report a dead link, please contact the webteam <webteam@depauw.edu>.

3. Finding Information
To find information on the 2008 site, you can either browse using the navigation menus (see Navigation above) or use the 2008 site search. Alternately, you can use either of the search functions on the main depauw.edu site: Search DePauw or DePauw Google Search. Each of these areas has additional information on how to optimize your searches.

4. About this site
The DePauw Class of 2009 site was developed specifically for you as a new student, to help you prepare for your upcoming experience at DePauw. Information on the site will help you learn more about DePauw and what to expect of your college experience; prepare and plan for your first year; and interact with your 2008 classmates in a variety of ways - online and before meeting face-to-face in the Fall. Any suggestions and comments are welcome... this is your site!
