A variety of alumni events planned in Chicago, Dayton, New York City and other cities

In upcoming alumni events, Graduates of the Last Decade (GOLD) will have a GOLDen opportunity for networking in Chicago; Dayton, Ohio, alumni plan a dinner and program with DePauw's director of alumni relations, and DePauw graduates will perform the New York premiere of a song cycle composed by Kevin D. James ’83. Several booksignings are planned around the country by James B. Stewart Jr. ’73, author of a new bestselling book, DisneyWar.

In Chicago, the GOLD Council is sponsoring a networking and job search event on Tuesday, April 12 at the Union League Club of Chicago, 65 West Jackson Boulevard, from 6-8 p.m. Interested alumni should R.S.V.P. by Tuesday, April 5 to mboyd@depauw.edu or call (800) 446-5298. DePauw Director of Alumni Relations Jennifer Clarkson Soster '88 will give Dayton-area alumni an update about the University on Tuesday, April 26. The New York City Alumni Council commissioned Kevin James ’83, a noted composer, to create a song cycle based on the award-winning poetry of Eugene Gloria, DePauw Assistant Professor of English, and former DePauw faculty member Maurice Manning. Alumni are encouraged to attend the New York premiere of James’ work, which is scheduled on Wednesday, May 4, at the Kosciuszko Foundation. Alumni still have an opportunity to meet award-winning author James B. Stewart Jr. ’73 (photo at left) during his national book tour for his new best-selling book, DisneyWar. Stewart’s latest book relates the breathtaking, dramatic, inside story of what drove America’s leading entertainment company to civil war. Booksigning dates and sites include:
