Adding a Flash Movie

The FlashVideo-Stub.asp was created to house a single Flash video. The page will serve as a starting point to adding your flash video to a page. The page should be used by updating the information on the page an then using "Save As" to create the new page.

Required Files to Start: (All of these files should be located in the same folder )

  1. FlashVideo-Stub.asp
  2. Halo_Skin_2.swf
  3. Your FLV movie you can convert any movie into a FLV using Flash Video Encoder

Step by Step Process

Step One

Save required files to local computer.

The files are located in a zip file (FlashMovie_Template.zip). Extract the files from the ZIP archive and save files in the local copy of your site where your final Flash video will be located.

Step Two

Open Flashvideo-Stub.asp and updated template properties.

  • SubSiteRoot
  • Page Title
  • Page Description
Step Three

Update Flash movie located in FlashVideo-Stub.asp to your FLV movie.

Flash Video IconIn design view select the Flash Video in the middle of the page. Change the "File" property in the Property Panel to your FLV movie. After updating what FLV file the page is pointing to update the "W" and "H" by pressing "Reset"
