Fringed Phacelia

Leaves:
Leaves are up to 5 inches long, pinnately divided. Leaflets are ovate or oblong.

Flowers:
Flowers are pale lavender or light blue with fringed petals. Flowers are produced in clusters. Anthers are brownish.

Fruit:
Fruit is an ovoid seed capsule.

More Information:

The genus name Phacelia is from the Latin for "cluster," referring to the clustered flowers.  The species name purshii is named for Frederick Traugott Pursh (1774-1820), a German-American botanist.
