Building Facilities
The Peeler Art Center maintains a variety of studio and art history facilities. Please consult the tables below for specific information and picture about each space. For all room reservation arrangements please contact Misti Scott at 658-4336. Building hours apply to all of the facilities unless otherwise noted. 2-D Studio (Peeler 203)
square footage: 2250 sq. ft made up of Beginning and Advanced studios combined
main equipment: large tables, stools, drawing benches, lockers, washroom and storage area

square footage: 2250 sq. ft. made up of Beginning and Advanced studios combined

Ceramics Studio (Peeler 106)
square footage: 5000 sq. ft., made up of Beginning studio, Advanced studio, glaze room, kiln room, clay mixing and storage room
main equipment: two gas kilns, three electric kilns, two slab rollers, extruder, twenty five wheels

Sculpture Studio (Peeler 105)
square footage: 5000 sq. ft. interior shop area, which includes metal shop, wood shop, wax/plaster room.
main equipment: MIG welding, oxygen/acetylene welding, TIG welding, plasma cutter and Hossfeld steel bender, table saw, panel saw, miter saw, jointer, planar, bandsaw, drum and disc sander, scroll saw and drill press. Cabinet sandblaster, large outdoor spray booth, and covered courtyard for large outdoor projects.

Photography Studio (Peeler 218)
square footage: 5000 sq. ft.
main equipment: Intro dark room, advanced dark room, color darkroom, non-silver processing room, light studio and photography classroom.

Digital Lab Studio (Peeler 007)
square footage: 1500 sq. ft.
main equipment: 15 Quad-Core Apple G5's with 30" Cinema Displays, individual scanners, a variety of digital imaging software including Adobe CS2, Aperture, Macromedia Studio. Nikon 8000 negative scanner, HP Color and BW Laser Printers, Epson 10000XL Tabloid-sized scanner.
Printing & Drum Scan Facility (Peeler 007b)

main equipment: 2 Quad-Core Apple G5's with 30" Cinema Displays; Epson Inkjet Printers: 9600, 7800, 2400, 2200, 1800; Hasselblad Drum Scanner; Gretag Macbeth color calibration system.

Digital Video Studio (Peeler 008)

main equipment: 7 Quad-Core G5 video stations with 30" Cinema Displays, Individual NTSC Video Monitors and MiniDV Decks; Editing, Compositing and Motion Graphics applications: Final Cut HD Suite, Shake, Adobe After Effects and Maya Unlimited.

Experimental Interfacing Studio (Peeler 007c)

main equipment: G4 Experimenter Computer; MAKE Microcontroller; Soldering Equipment; a variety of sensors and actuators. Space also available for table-top video and animation shooting (stop motion, etc).
