AR, Eureka Springs ~ Turpentine Creek Wildlife Refuge is accepting applications for full-time staff positions at the refuge. The refuges is a no-kill facility committed to rescuing abused, abandoned and unwanted Big Cats and other exotic animals. Applicant for staff position require B.S. or B.A. in an animal-related discipline is preferred, but all disciplines are encouraged to apply. Job Description for the animal Keeper position includes cleaning cages, habitats and compound; feeding and medicating animals; assisting with maintenance, upkeep, and habitat construction; participating in occasional public promotions. You would be paid a weekly cash stipend of $50 for living expenses, as well as housing on the refuge in a comfortable cottage, which has heat, air conditioning, utilities, full bath, kitchen, and a washer and dryer. IL, Glen Ellyn ~ Willowbrook Wildlife Foundation has announced their Wildlife Education and Rehabilitation Fellowships. Willowbrook maintains a permanent exhibit collection of native wildlife species and is open to the public daily. Fellowship Positions included Keeper Fellowships; Veterinary Technician Fellowship; Education Fellowship; Research Fellowship. All applicants must be currently enrolled in or a recent graduate from a related degree program. Fellows will be paid $10.00 per hour and must provide their own housing and transportation. | 2006-07 | IL, Oregon, Lorado Taft Field Campus, Northern Illinois University needs Education Program Specialist from August 16, 2007 to May 31, 2008. These positions teach 4th to 8th grade students in the outdoors in a variety of subjects including foest ecology, team building, pioneering, water study, orienteering, campfire, night nhites, geology, birds and survival. This position pays $1,100 per month and a private room and board is provided. Specialists are provided a full benefit package(health, vision, dental), retirement and paid holidays and 2 weeks staff training.
