Dr. Anthony received her B.A. in Communication, her B.S. in Education, and her M.S. in College Student Personnel at Bowling Green State University, her M.A. in Theatre at SUNY Binghamton, and her Ph. D in Theatre History and Criticism at the University of Maryland. Dr. Anthony served as Vice Chair for the Theatre Division of the National Communication Association and is a member of the American Culture Association and Association for Theater in Higher Education.

Dr. Anthony has a wide variety of work in Theatre and Communication in different areas throughout the United States. Her Communication work includes voice-overs and training videos in Maryland, host of The Global Village talk show of cable access television in College Park, MD, and five years of television weather at an NBC affiliate in Ohio. She has performed in numerous musicals and plays throughout Ohio, as well as with the Cider Mill playhouse in Binghamton, NY; performances at Cortland Repertory Theatre in Company; Quilt: A Musical Celebration produced by the Smithsonian and University of Maryland; directed a production at Silver Spring Stage in Silver Spring, Maryland; and worked with new plays at Indiana Theatre Association for the past two years. At DePauw, she has directed Group S.O.S by Bonnie Bedford, The Vampire, Crimes of the Heart, Top Girls, and Sweeney Todd.

Dr. Anthony teaches Acting 1, Foundations ofCommunication, Public Speaking, Theatre History, Acting 2, Senior Seminar, and Acting for the Camera.
