Jonathan Nichols-Pethick received his B. A. from the University of Southern Maine in 1994, his M. A. from Indiana University in 1998 and his Ph.D. from Indiana University in 2005. Dr. Nichols-Pethick teaches primarily courses in media criticism, film studies, and video production. He is also teaches in the Media Fellows program.
Dr. Nichols-Pethick’s research interests include media history, media industries, narrative, and genre studies. His work has appeared in The Velvet Light Trap and the Encyclopedia of Television. His essay, “The Dynamics of Local Television” will appear in the forthcoming anthology from Routledge, Beyond Prime Time.
