Sally Harvey-Koelpin completed her Ph.D. in Curriculum Studies in 2004 from Indiana University. Prior to earning a doctorate she taught in an urban public school for sixteen years. Her research interests include the history of education, education policy, multicultural education, anti-racist teaching and urban schools. Harvey-Koelpin has taught courses in the foundations of education, multicultural education, social studies methods and tutoring and service learning. Her publications include briefing papers on the history of the Indianapolis Free Kindergarten and Children’s Aid Society and Eliza Blaker, a chapter titled “The Impact of Reform on Students with Disabilities” in E. Brantlinger’s edited book Remediating Other People’s Children and the “NCLB Digest” in Comprehensive Multicultural Education by C. Bennett. |
