Professor Istvan Csicsery-Ronay received his B.A. from Bennington College, and his Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from Princeton University. A co-editor of Science Fiction Studies, and managing editor of Humanimalia: a Journal of Human/Animal Interface Studies, ICR has published widely on techno-cultural theory and science fiction. He co-edited Robot Ghosts and Wired Dreams: Japanese Science Fiction from Origins to Anime (Minnesota, 2007); his book The Seven Beauties of Science Fiction (Wesleyan) was released in Fall ’08. ICR has received two NEH Fellowships (1987-88, 2000-01) and a Fulbright Lecturing Award to the Janus Pannonius University in Hungary (1992-94). At DePauw, he teaches a wide variety of courses, including World Literature, Comedy, Science Fiction, Film Theory, and The Great Novel. He has been the recipient of three Faculty Fellowships and is a current DePauw University Professor. |
