Melisa Klimaszewski received her B.A. from the University of Michigan and completed her M.A. and Ph.D. at the University of California, San Diego. Before coming to DePauw, she taught at Oakland University and Drury University. With specialties in nineteenth-century British literature and culture, critical gender studies, and the literature of South Africa, Dr. Klimaszewski teaches a wide range of courses. Likewise, her publications are varied. She has co-authored Charles Dickens, one of the inaugural biographies in Hesperus Press’s Brief Lives series, and edited several of Dickens’s collaborative Christmas numbers, including the forthcoming A Round of Stories by the Christmas Fire. Her publications also include articles on nineteenth-century domestic servants. Currently, Dr. Klimaszewski is completing an additional volume for the Brief Lives series on Wilkie Collins and pursuing a book-length project on Victorian nursemaids and wet nurses. | ||
