Professor Dickerson is a professor of English at DePauw where she teaches American, Victorian, and African American literature. Dickerson has written a book, Victorian Ghosts in the Noontide: Women Writers and the Supernatural, edited a volume Keeping the Victorian House, co-edited another volume Recovering the Black Female Body, and published several essays on Victorian and African American women writers.
