Rebekah Fuller earned her Ph.D. in English, with a certificate in Medieval and Renaissance Studies, from Duke University in 2005. She also holds degrees from Stanford University and the University of California at Berkeley. Fuller specializes in medieval literature; she also works on nineteenth and twentieth-century forms of medievalism. She is currently revising her dissertation for publication: her book project is titled “Arts of Losing: Language and Loss in Late Medieval Elegy.” In it Fuller argues that late medieval writers turned to the elegy as a site for exploring the controversial resources of an emerging vernacular. Fuller has taught courses on Chaucer, Shakespeare, Arthurian legend, and the history of fantasy literature in addition to first-year writing. She has received awards for her teaching (including Duke University’s Dean’s Award for Excellence in Teaching) and for her scholarship (including awards to pursue manuscript research in England). |
