In April 2008, the international research project on which I serve as co-investigator, project co-developer, and steering committee member, Intellectual Property Issues in Cultural Heritage: Theory, Practice, Policy, Ethics, received 7 years of funding from the Major Collaborative Research Initiatives Program of the Social Science and Humanities Research Council of Canada for development of a Knowledge Base, funding for 20 community-based case studies, and meetings of interdisciplinary working groups.
