Glen Kuecker

Glen Kuecker  went to St. Olaf College for his B.A. and received a Ph.D from  Rutgers  University in Latin American and Global History.  He teaches Latin  American history,  and courses in the Conflict Studies Program and Management  Fellows Program. Professor Kuecker specializes in late 19th Century Mexico,  the process of modernization  in the port city of Tampico.  He has published on  the history of catastrophe, yellow  fever, and Porfirian era regional  politicians.  Professor Kuecker also does research and  writing on the topic of  grassroots resistance to neoliberal structural reforms in Latin  America, with  a focus on Ecuador and Mexico.  He attempts to cover a variety of gender themes in his courses.
