Marnie McInnes received her B.A. from Stanford University and her Ph.D. in English from Yale University. Since coming to DePauw in 1981, she has taught a variety of courses in literature, core and cross-listed courses in Women's Studies, First-Year Seminars, and College Writing II. For the last seven years, she has divided her time between teaching and administrative work in Academic Affairs, serving as Associate Dean of Academic Affairs (1997-2004) and currently as Dean of Academic Life. Her responsibilities in Academic Affairs include the First-Year Seminar Program, summer registration, orientation for new students, academic advising, academic integrity, grade grievances, and the writing competence program.
Marnie's scholarly research interests focus on twentieth century women writers, modern poetry, and the intersections between literature and photography.
