Clarissa Peterson

Clarissa Peterson came to DePauw University in 1997.  Currently she is Assistant Professor of Political Science, Interim Director of the Black Studies Program, and Advisor for Association of African American Students, and pre-law.  She earned an B.A. in Political Science/Public Policy Management from the University of Akron, Ohio.   Both her Ph.D. and Master's Degrees were received from Emory University.  She   regularly includes issues of gender in both Political Science and Black Studies courses; these courses have included American National Government, Race Politics, African American Politics, and Intro to Black Studies.  Her research interests are in African American Political Behavior.
