Starting Out in Women's Studies

The women's studies program at DePauw offers four core courses:

• Introduction to Women's Studies
• Feminist Inquiry
• Feminist Theory
• Senior Seminar

There are also over forty courses which are cross-listed with traditional areas of study - nearly every department at DePauw is represented - and which often meet major requirements and other requirements for graduation.  Women's Studies courses encourage students of all sorts to consider the diversity of women's experiences in the past, the difference gender makes, and the changing roles of men and women today.  We offer a major and a minor.

Many students begin with Introduction to Women's Studies, or with one of the other first-year seminars in the field, but many other cross-listed courses are also very appropriate for first year students.
