How Students Connect with DePauw Alumni

DePauw alumni are eager to speak with current students about their lives and careers.
  • TigerLinks!  Reach out to alumni for support and advice on the LinkedIn official DePauw University Alumni Group. Share your stories and hear theirs. Every contact can lead to more information, and the key is connecting with people so that you reach the largest possible group in any given field.
  • The Alumni Gateway is the Alumni Online Directory, which lists DePauw University alumni and the information they want to be made available to students. The directory is updated and managed by the Office of Alumni Relations.
  • Alumni Luncheons and Speakers.  Casual and informal opportunities for students to connect with alumni and talk about the career path they have chosen, the part of the country they live in, and the experiences they've had since graduation.  Available and advertised to all students. Provides valuable network opportunities.
  • Pre-Professional Development and Shadowing Experiences.  Students connect with alumni during fall, winter, or spring breaks for single-day job shadowing and professional advising. Students arrange existing travel plans for the break. For example, a student from Chicago may connect with contacts in the area upon their return home for winter break.
  • Internships.  Alumni offer internship opportunities at their companies or organizations exclusively for DePauw University students to gain practical work experience in a chosen career field.  Students connect with these opportunities through the in internship coordinator in Professional Opportunities.
