The Center for Student Engagement has development a new summer internship program called DePauw Signature Internships. There are several exciting opportunities for students who want to participate in the Summer Internship Program. Read below to apply for the opportunity that looks the most interesting to you.


There are three options for students to choose from:

-Secure Your Own Internship

Angie’s List
Started by DePauw Alum, Angie Hick's, Angie's List is a quickly growing online review site that has 1.5 million subscribers throughout the United States and Canada who post an average of about 40,000 reviews each month.

Bottom-Line Performance is a learning design firm serving a wide range of corporate, nonprofit, and government clients.

Caskey Achievement Strategies
Started by alumni Bill Caskey, Caskey Achievement Strategies develop B2B sales and leadership teams for organization.

Cause.it
Cause.it is a new start-up in Indianapolis. The company was just given seed money by the Indiana University Research and Technology Corporation. The company is developing new mobile software for volunteerism. 

Goodwill (2)
Goodwill® works to enhance the dignity and quality of life of individuals and families by strengthening communities, eliminating barriers to opportunity, and helping people in need reach their full potential through learning and the power of work.

Teach in Taiwan (Tamkang High School)
For those interested in teaching abroad, this is a unique opportunity to teach at Tamkang High  School. Students can teach elementary, junior high, or senior high school subjects like Listening and Speaking, Reading or Writing.

 

LOCAL COMMUNITY BUILDING INTERNSHIPS

Contribute to community transformation working in local Greencastle/ Putnam County nonprofits.

Putnam County Museum
Exhibition and Acquisitions Management Intern- Assist in creating exhibits including reconfiguring the layout of the exhibit hall as well as retiring several. The other major duty of this position will be to continue collections care, accessioning, and management over the summer months

Putnam County Library
Development and Promotions Assistant Intern- Assist library staff and volunteers with fund-raising to support the Imagination Library program. Coordinate disbursement of information about the program to the community.

Putnam County Hospital
Community Health Needs Assessment Coordinator- The coordinator will be responsible to deliver an IRS compliant Community Health Needs Assessment for Putnam County Indiana.

Ivy Tech Entrepreneurship Center
Research and Program Assistant- Research and develop best practices in student entrepreneurship curriculums and experiential business creation models; to use the information in collaboration with the BES Center and others to create the framework of an entrepreneurship program for college and secondary students.

City of Greencastle Mayor's Office
City Contact System Project Intern- Help the city create and implement a contact system
that will allow the City to communicate via phone and/or e-mail with citizens in Greencastle.

Johnson Nichols Health Clinic 
Grants Manager- Research and write of grants that are used to provide funding for the Clinic’s health programs. Also the intern will create quarterly reports needed to demonstrate that the grant goals are being met.

SECURE YOUR OWN INTERNSHIPS

Have you found and secured an unpaid internship but would like to be paid for it? Apply at the Center for Student Engagement for a $3,000.00 stipend and get paid for your hard work. There are only 10 awards for this internship program.
