Credit & Preparation

Participation in an approved independent study project earns one Winter Term credit toward a student's graduation requirements. Students are required to complete three Winter Term credits and may do so in any combination of Winter Term options.

To be registered for the Winter Term Independent Study Project and earn the credit, students are required to:

  1. Submit application by deadline
  2. Receive a faculty member's endorsement of the project
  3. Submit all required forms and documents
  4. Complete mandatory orientation
  5. Submit all required work to project advisor

Upon receipt of all required materials after the conclusion of Winter Term, the faculty member will award the student a grade. To earn the Winter Term credit, a student must receive a "Satisfactory" ("S") grade.
