The Winter Term bridges the fall and spring semesters during the month of January. It is an opportunity for students and faculty to participate in intensive exploration of unique concepts in non-traditional settings. Students can choose from 5 Winter Term programmatic offerings: On-Campus courses, Short Term Off-Campus Study, Internships, Independent Study, or Study at another 4-1-4 university or instiution.
Off-Campus Faculty-Led Study and Service Courses provide students the opportunity to explore and experience another culture, learn in a new environment, develop a skill not readily available elsewhere, and deepen their awareness of the global community. Some faculty led courses use service as a vehicle for experiential learning. The courses are listed on the Winter Term link from the SOC page of e-services. Students apply online through the “Online Applications” link in their e-services menu. Students are automatically considered for financial support; awards are based on financial need as demonstrated to the Office of Financial Aid.
Applications are accepted during Spring and Fall application periods.
To access the online application, log in to e-services and click on "Online Applications."
