Teach Kentucky

Teach Kentucky is seeking college graduates in all majors to teach in priority public middle and high schools in Louisville, KY while pursuing an Alternative Route Teacher Certification via a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) degree. Lead class while you earn your certification!

Teach Kentucky’s primary interest is in those who have a desire to teach or at least explore teaching as a possible career. They are focused on providing a supportive environment and sense of community where teachers are encouraged to use creativity and innovative teaching techniques to enrich the lives of students, the face of education, and their own lives.

Intense preparation and support are provided to applicants in the form of: 

  • Six-week Summer Institute focusing on content specific lesson planning, behavior management, classroom organization techniques, and career development training;
  • One-on-one support inside and outside the classroom with a Retired Master Teacher Advocate & content lesson plan coaching with a veteran Teach Kentucky teacher;
  • Practice teaching sessions and classroom observations;
  • Enrollment in an alternative route to certification Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT); and 
  • Access to social events and community connections to foster leadership development.

MSA-In-A-Day Program, The Kelley School of Business, Indiana University
The Kelley School of Business MS in Accounting (MSA) Program invites DePauw students to participate in a half-day event allowing candidates to interview with the MSA program; participants will end the day with an admissions decision within 24 hours of their interview. 
 
During this event students can expect to interview with the program’s representatives, graduate career services, student services, and the program chair.  Students will also have lunch with current students and shadow an MSA class.  As part of this day Kelley will cover both mileage and meal expenses for candidates.  
Taking place on Thursday, October 26, 2017 on IU’s campus, students are strongly encouraged to reach out to Lindsey Arnold (arnoldls@indiana.edu) to learn more about this opportunity. Students who have maintained a GPA of 3.5 or above with a background in accounting and economics are eligible to attend.
