Off-Campus Study Profile: Savon Jackson - IES Abroad, New Delhi, India

What did you study while off-campus?
While in India, I took classes about the history of Delhi, as well as learned the native language; Hindi. I also took a class based upon international service as well as a course on the religions of India.

How did you connect with your community off-campus?
As a Bonner Scholar on campus, I was able to continue the service I do on campus while abroad by volunteering at a Sikh Gurudwara making and serving food to community members.

I studied French language and culture, and also did an internship at the Musée de l’Orangerie, which is an impressionist museum in the Tuileries gardens.
