Retreats at DePauw

Do you ever wish you could return to the classrooms at DePauw where you had some of your most memorable learning experiences? To engage in spirited conversations about significant societal issues? To explore the personal and professional values that guide us and to grapple with the ethical issues that challenge us?

We are pleased to announce a new program for DePauw alumni that will offer you that opportunity starting this summer. The Janet Prindle Institute for Ethics will host a series of “Retreats at DePauw” that capture the best qualities of the DePauw learning experience. This is a wonderful opportunity to return to campus for a few days to join fellow life-long learners in conversation and reflection about the important issues in our lives.

The Prindle Institute for Ethics is a marvelous setting for these retreats. The architecturally splendid building is situated in DePauw’s 525-acre Nature Park with an abundance of natural beauty and scenic trails for walking and hiking. The retreats will include time for relaxed, informal conversations as well as yoga and meditation sessions in the adjacent Bartlett Reflection Center overlooking the old limestone quarry.

Retreat participants will stay at the Inn at DePauw right on the campus, with meals and receptions at the Inn and at The Prindle Institute.

You can’t literally wind back the clock to your college years, but you can return to DePauw and relive the experience of stimulating learning. We hope you will join us for a “Retreat at DePauw.”
