Linda Clute began her DePauw career in 1998 and has served the University in several offices—Public Affairs, the President’s Office, and Development and Alumni Relations. She has worked at the Prindle Institute since it opened in early 2008. She is responsible for the budget, stewardship of the endowed funds, human resource functions, event planning, and ongoing oversight of the building and programs.
Prior to her work at DePauw, Linda served in the dual capacity of Director of the Greater Greencastle Chamber of Commerce and Project Manager for Main Street Greencastle. She has been an entrepreneur with her husband, owning two restaurants in Greencastle, and was the sole proprietor of The Office Pro, an administrative support service for small businesses and non-profits. She is a graduate of Ball State University’s School of Business.
Linda is a native of Indianapolis, Indiana. She and her husband currently live in Greencastle. She has three children and six grandchildren. Among her favorite things are spending time with her grandchildren, gardening, going to farmer’s markets locally and wherever she travels, and practicing yoga. Her ethical interests lie where food and ethics converge. She believes the best part of her job is working with the Prindle interns and Graduate Fellows. “I love to see their enthusiasm for the work they do at the Institute. They care deeply about things that are important for us all. They inspire me and give me hope for the future.”
