Michael Johnson Prize |

Students are welcome to apply for this award. The Michael Johnson Prize is an award of up to $500 to promising students to help support a research project, course work at a field station, or graduate study in field biology. This award is funded through a generous donation by the estate of Dr. Michael Johnson, former DePauw University biology professor. Link to application |
The following awards are bestowed by faculty members of the Biology Department upon review of all students. |

Dr. John C. Frazier Memorial Prize |
|
|
This Award was established in the honor of the late Dr. Frazier, a 1925 graduate of DePauw University. Dr. Frazier had a distinguished career in teaching and research in botany. The Award is presented to a senior biology major, who has demonstrated outstanding scholarship and research potential in the area of botany or microbiology. |

Albert E. Reynolds Outstanding Senior Award |

|
Albert E. Reynolds was a 1930 DePauw graduate and a member of the Zoology (now Biological Sciences) Department for 50 years. During this time he distinguished himself as a scholar through teaching and research. He served as Department Chairman from 1960 to 1974. The award, established in 1981 in honor of Dr. Reynolds, is presented to the senior biology major who best exemplifies the superior scholarship demonstrated by him. |

Wylie Condit Science Scholarship |

Established by Mr. and Mrs. Charles M. Condit, this scholarship is given to promising juniors to further their studies in natural sciences. |

Marcella Fletcher Memorial Award |

This award is presented to a biology major who is pursuing advanced education. |

Lucy Moore Grave Scholarship |
|
|
This scholarship fund was established by Benjamin Harrison Grave (faculty member from 1928-1942) and Lucy Moore Grave to provide financial assistance for those underclass students interested in studying marine biology. |

Truman G. Yuncker Endowed Merit Scholarship |
|
|
This award is for the most outstanding junior (rising senior) majoring in Biology with a concentration in botany or bacteriology. |
