Eleven Fifty Academy is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit code and cybersecurity academy and was the first coding bootcamp in Indiana. They believe in impacting the lives of students by providing relevant coding skills for the most in-demand jobs in today’s tech ecosystem. Their introductory courses are currently free, including UI Design and Cybersecurity.

Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) Programs This site provides a listing of summer research programs funded by the National Science Foundation. The Programs are hosted at universities and research laboratories across the country, including at DePauw.

Pathways to Science Database of Summer Opportunities
This site provides a searchable database of summer research opportunities, as well as other research and support programs for students majoring in a variety of sciences including computer science.

Internships and Research Experiences Associated with Oak Ridge National Laboratory
This site provides links to numerous internships and research experiences that are associated with Oak Ridge National Laboratory.  Some of the programs are open to International students while others are limited to U.S. citizens or permanent residents.

A website that provides an interface to a database of internship opportunities that is searchable by major and city.  The site also has tips on constructing resumes and cover letters, preparing for interviews, etc.

A website that allows students to search for internships and full-time positions in cities across the United States. 

iD Tech Camps
This company organizes summer youth technology camps at colleges and universities across the country.  The company hires college students to work as counselors and technology instructors.  DePauw students, ranging from first-year students to seniors and including both domestic and international students, teach young children topics along the spectrum from Minecraft to robotics to applications development to high-level language instruction.

This site provides various services for students who are trying to learn about graduate programs in various disciplines. For example there are rankings of graduate programs by discipline and subdiscipline (computer science is listed under engineering) and links to articles that give advice on how to pick a graduate school.

Peterson's Guide To Graduate Programs
This site will also be of interest to students who are considering graduate school. You can search for information about graduate programs based on a variety of key fields (geographical location, discipline, etc.)

This website is used by some companies during interviews but students can signup in advance to practice. The site is free for anyone who wants to sharpen their skills in almost all mainstream languages.

A website with suggestions for preparing for interviews for technical positions.  Reviews major topics and offers advice for answering technical and non-technical questions.

Programming Interviews Exposed: Secrets to Landing your Next Job
A traditional (paper) book with with suggestions for preparing for interviews for technical positions.  Reviews major topics and offers advice for answering technical and non-technical questions including salary negotiations.  Third edition published in fall 2012.  Earlier editions have been published over the past decade.

Cost of Living Comparison Calculator
This on-line calculator can help you compare job offers in different cities based on the cost of living in those cities.  The calculator also shows average salaries for various jobs in the city you plan to relocate to.

DePauw's ACM-W Chapter is affiliated with the international organization, ACM's Women in Computing. ACM-W celebrates, informs and supports women in computing.

Indianapolis Software Meetups
Meetups are informal regional meetings of people with similar interests.  There are a number of software related meetups in Indianapolis, many of which meet monthly. Participating in meetups is a great way to network and to learn more about new technologies.
