Fisher Time Out Awarded to Khadija Stewart (Fall 2009)
Assistant Professor of Computer Science Khadija Stewart has been honored with a DePauw University Fisher Time Out award to work on the development of a Novel Distributed Cache-Coherency Algorithm. " Professor Stewart's work will involve the design and implementation of an algorithm to solve a problem called "the cache coherency problem" in multi-core chips (see diagram) that use network interconnects. Stewart also plans to describe her work in a paper that will be submitted to a conference for presentation and publication. Stewart's award was received in response to proposal submitted to DePauw's Faculty Development Committee. The award provides time during the 2010-2011 academic year to work on this project.
