Senior, Lauren Good, Publishes a Paper (Spring 2017)
Our Computer Science senior, Lauren Good (on the left in the picture above), recently delivered a paper (with her co-author, Jacqueline Horn, from Wellesley College) at the International Conference on Computing, Networking and Communications (ICNC 2017) January 26-29, 2017, in San Francisco, CA. The paper, "A Survey of Social-Based Routing Protocols in Delay Tolerant Networks", appears in the IEEE Xplore ICNC 2017 conference proceedings - http://ieeexplore.ieee.org/document/7876231/. The director of the Sustainable Wireless Communication project, Shuhui "Grace" Yang, chose Lauren for her summer 2016 Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) project at Purdue University Calumet - now called Purdue Northwest, Hammond Campus. REUs are highly-selective summer experiences, but several of our DePauw students (like Lauren) have enjoyed summer research experiences through the National Science Foundation's funding. See: https://www.nsf.gov/crssprgm/reu/ for more information about REUs. The Computer Science Department congratulates Lauren (fourth from the left in the last row in the picture below) for her publication, recognizing that her paper appears in an important digital library.
