Research Opportunities

Want to conduct original research with Department faculty members?  Many of our majors do just that.  In fact, Department faculty members have active research programs that routinely involve undergraduate majors.  Research students not only work 1-on-1 with faculty members to gain valuable research experience in a Geoscience sub-discipline (e.g., geology, environmental geoscience, and/or earth science) but they also may...

1) travel to interesting locations all over the world,
2) be paid to conduct research, and
3) have the opportunity to publish their work and present at national conferences.
