History

Associate Professor of History

*Please note that I am on sabbatical in 2023-2024 and will not be teaching any courses*

My research and teaching explore relationships of power and the intersections of culture and politics in the modern United States. My current project, funded by DePauw grants and the National Endowment for the Humanities, is about how gender operated in 1970s political culture and centers on women in Congress. I am also working on a biography of Pat Schroeder, who represented Denver in Congress for 24 years starting in 1973.

Come stop by my office to talk history any time (virtual office hours are available), and follow us on Instagram @DePauwHistoryDepartment
