Second flight of 2013 Summer Science Research Fellows program.
BASE 72 was launched from the Northmont School property north of Crawfordsville, Indiana (40.12N, 86.91W) at 11:35 am Eastern Daylight Time on 5 June. The 600 gram balloon was filled with hydrogen and reached a burst altitude of 92,000 feet. The landing was in a soybean field between Hillisburg and Scircleville, Indiana. We were able to watch the final 4000 feet of the descent of the payloads and parachute.
The adjustments to the gain on the photometers was appropriate for some of the wavelengths, but another round of adjustments will be made for the next flight.
