Dr. Michael Nees '01
Dr. Michael Nees will present a talk entitled "Accommodations in High-stakes Standardized Testing: Problems and Potential Solutions" on Friday, October 26. The presentation will begin at 4:30 in the Olin Auditorium (Room 123). Sponsored by the Psychology Department, Psi Chi, and the J. William and Katherine C. Asher Endowed Research Fund, all Speakers Series events are free and open to the public.
Dr. Nees joined the faculty of Lafayette College as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology in Fall, 2011. He was awarded a Ph.D. in Psychology from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2009. Before coming to Lafayette, Dr. Nees taught at Spelman College and worked as a post-doctoral researcher at Georgia Tech. Prior to attending graduate school, he worked in clinical research at the Indianapolis VA Medical Center and as a consultant for MedFocus at Eli Lilly.
