Here's how Betty describes her work: "For my Women's Studies senior film project, I documenting how Queer Asian American women perceive love through their different identities (i.e family, ethnicity, romantic relationships, race, class, etc). The filmconsist of interviewees from New York City, Chicago, Minneapolis/St. Paul, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Berkeley, and San Jose. Interviewees also vary in Asian American ethnicities. The film does not generalize a Queer Asian American woman's experience; instead, I want this film to project these unique and often hidden narratives." The film screening will take place Weds, May 2nd, 4-6pm, in Peeler Auditorium, and wil be followed by Q&A/discussion/reception. Please join us! |
