We're very excited to introduce Christy Holmes, the first ever DePauw faculty member with a full appointment to the women's studies program. Christy comes to us from Ohio State, where she received her Ph.D. from the Department of Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies; her research focuses on the intersections between the cultural production and direct action work of Chicana artists, activists and scholars and ecofeminist theory. Her teaching interests include transnational and Chicana/Latina feminisms, ecofeminism and environmental justice, gender and development, feminist methodology and qualitative research methods.
Now that she's here, we'll be able to offer Feminist Inquiry and US Women of Color every year -- plus new courses on Environmental and Transnational Feminisms ... and watch this space for more to come!
