Susan Anthony received her M.A. from Binghamton University in 1990 and her Ph.D. in Theatre History and Criticism from the University of Maryland in 1997, where she also directed a living-learning program called "Scholars in the Arts." At DePauw, she teaches Theatre History, Acting, Introduction to Communication Studies, and other communication courses. Her publications and conference presentations address drama and theatre of 19th century America, melodrama and popular culture, and the depiction of women in plays and on the stage.
