Dear Mr. Doe,

I am a senior at DePauw University, graduating with a double major in Political Science and Spanish. I grew up on a grain and livestock farm, and I quickly learned the importance of agriculture and hard work. While researching agricultural-related job opportunities within Indiana, I found the education internship offered through the Indiana State Fair. I am writing to express my interest in the internship.

Through my four years as an undergraduate, I have developed strong writing and speaking skills in both English and Spanish. I enjoy interacting with children, and I am used to working outside on my family's farm in the summer. With my hands-on experience, both on the farm and in the classroom, I believe that I would be a great asset to the State Fair as an education intern. At DePauw, I volunteer through the Spanish Enrichment Program. Once a week, I travel with a group of other students to neighboring elementary schools to teach children the basics of the Spanish language and culture. I work with a small group of fifth graders that make each session interesting as I try to develop fun ways to keep them entertained with the language.

I believe that the combination of my agricultural background and experience with teaching is well-suited for the education internship described on the Indiana State Fair website.
