Roche Enterprises

Dear Mr. Davis:
Thank you for meeting with me Monday to discuss the plant manager position in your company. William Banks has told me of your reputation within the industry, and, as we spoke, it quickly became apparent that he did not exaggerate.
During our conversation, you mentioned that you are looking for someone with at least five years experience as a plant manager, preferably with rotary kiln experience. I indicated that I met both those qualifications, but I don’t believe I properly emphasized the scope of my background. I have spent the last fifteen years as a plant manager at Gabriel Enterprises. In this position, not only did I work with a rotary kiln, but I was also the driving force behind acquiring one for our facility. I conceived of the idea, estimated its financial impact, and then took complete responsibility for its incorporation into our program. This change alone increased our production capacity by almost 25%. I would like the opportunity to show this kind of initiative working for you company.
I view Roche Enterprises as a company in which initiative and hard work are rewarded and where new concepts are given a fair opportunity. As a team, Roche Enterprises and I would get positive results – that is why I would appreciate your serious consideration for the plant manager position.
I will call Thursday morning to find out more about the hiring process. Thank you once again for your time. I look forward to our next conversation.
Sincerely,
Gus Johnson
