Career Exploration Day

Do you wonder, "what will I do after graduation or even next summer?" What do people in a variety of occupations actually do on a daily basis? How can I break into a field in which I am interested? Do I want the advice of DePauw alumni and other professionals who have struggled with these questions?

Our annual Career Exploration Day offers some answers. Representatives from various occupations will be on campus to talk with you about their jobs, fields, career paths and job searches. A sample of represented fields includes: advertising, banking, consulting, event planning, government, human resources, law, marketing, museums, publishing, journalism and small business.

WorkChicago

WorkChicago is an annual interview day held in downtown Chicago and sponsored by seven leading Midwestern liberal arts colleges and universities (see below). It is an opportunity to interview for full-time jobs and internships at companies/organizations that will not be visiting campus.

IndyConnection

This interview day is jointly sponsored by the Career Centers at DePauw University and Wabash College. The day is an opportunity to interview with Indianapolis employers that will not be on-campus to talk with students.

DePauw's Internship & Summer Job Fair

An opportunity for all DePauw students to:

  • meet with a variety of individuals about internship opportunities at their organizations;
  • give these representatives your resume;
  • potentially secure an internship, but generate some leads at the very least;
  • learn more about different organizations and occupational fields.

Teacher Candidate Interview Day

Career Services, along with similar offices in eleven other Indiana universities and colleges have sponsored for 25 years, a day specific for those looking for education positions, Teacher Candidate Interview Day (TCID), held at the University of Indianapolis annually in April. Participants have an opportunity to speak with school corporation representatives from 50+ school systems during an open exchange period and in prearranged interviews.

College Talent Recruitment Day

Each February, DePauw and eleven other Indiana colleges and universities sponsor College Talent Recruitment Day at the Convention Center in Indianapolis. Over 100 employers attend this job fair representing opportunities in management, sales, technology, non-profit, finance, healthcare, just name to a few.
