Head Men's Soccer Coach
Full-time, 10-month, salaried position with benefits

RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include directing all aspects of a competitive NCAA Division III men’s soccer program, including understanding and compliance with the NCAA Division III, Conference and University rules and regulations. Essential functions include recruitment of qualified student athletes; teaching soccer fundamentals and strategies to student athletes; identifying and evaluating potential students with interest in our soccer program and organize their recruitment in conjunction with the Admission staff; developing a team chemistry to help provide a good experience for the student athletes; monitoring student athletes academic progression; scheduling of games and making transportation and lodging arrangements for team travel; training, supervising, and evaluating pertinent coaching staff; managing budget for the soccer program; demonstrating sensitivity to individuals of diverse cultural backgrounds and demonstrating a commitment to a diverse community; and overseeing a second area of responsibility related to the Athletic Department operations as deemed appropriate by the Director of Athletics and Recreational Sports.

REQUIREMENTS 
Bachelor’s degree in related field required, Master’s Degree in related field preferred.  Prior coaching experience and/or collegiate playing experience preferred. Experience working with youth and/or college students required.  Successful candidate must demonstrate enthusiasm and a desire to interact with students in various age groups. Must possess strong interpersonal skills and demonstrate ability to motivate, communicate, and understand college-level student athletes.  Strong financial skills related to establishing and administering a budget and distributing funds appropriately. Ability to create and implement a recruiting plan to attract both in and out of state qualified student athletes to DePauw University. Desire to work in a rural, small-school environment which is devoted to providing liberal arts education, building community, and helping students prepare for their future careers.

Other requirements include CPR certification and valid driver’s license.
