Music Instructional Technology Center (MITC) Graduate Internship
Full-time, 10-month, salaried position with benefits
Spring 2007 and 2007-08 academic year

RESPONSIBILITIES
The internship will provide the candidate with the opportunity to develop leadership and management skills through the supervision of the Music Instructional Technology Center (MITC) ITAP internship program, MITC computer lab and the student consultants; develop project management and consulting skills by working with faculty members and through participation on instructional consulting teams; and develop instructional skills through the opportunity to develop and conduct music technology workshops for students and faculty.  Specific duties may include supervising ITAP associates for the School of Music; planning and conducting workshops in music technology for students and faculty; supporting multimedia and streaming media faculty course projects; consulting with faculty to develop methods and techniques for using technology in teaching; designing and developing audio enhanced websites; developing documentation and instructional materials; and performing setup, testing and maintenance of equipment in MITC facilities including the SmartMusic studio.

REQUIREMENTS 
Must be a new or recent college graduate or masters/doctoral student in a music-technology, instructional technology, library or related field.  Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; user support or equivalent experience working with people; and technical proficiency with software and hardware for graphical design or page/screen layout, written documentation, computer programming, and setting up and maintaining PC and Macintosh platforms required.  Interest in the areas of instructional consulting in higher education and/or multimedia production for education is useful, but not required.
