Campus Life

Residential Facilities

One hundred percent of students live on campus and can choose from a diversity of living options – everything from traditional residence halls to Greek Houses, from singles to suites, from University-owned apartments and duplexes to theme houses.

Our residential system at DePauw includes nine residence halls, multiple theme communities, a unique village of small halls, and over 95 University-owned apartment and house units. In our communities, residents have the opportunity to become involved in a variety of leadership, social and athletic activities.

Organizations

Our rich mix of extracurricular offerings consists of more than 95 clubs and organizations, including academic and athletic clubs, fraternities, sororities, and political and service organizations.

Arts

Orchestra

Art at DePauw comes in many forms and venues: the Performing Arts Series of events, an active student theatre program, exhibitions at the Peeler Art Center performances in the School of Music, film screenings and annual ArtsFest week, to name a few. Students participate, appreciate and enjoy the many options.

Award-winning Media

The DePauw is Indiana’s oldest college newspaper, founded in 1852 under the name Asbury Notes. WGRE Radio has a long and distinguished history of providing radio service to the DePauw and west central Indiana communities. The Princeton Review has repeatedly ranked WGRE in the Top Ten campus radio stations. D3TV, broadcasting 24 hours a day on Channel 3 of the DePauw University campus network, features student-produced shows as well as a variety of acquired programming. At the recent Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ) "Best of Indiana" competition, The DePauw, WGRE and D3TV each collected several awards.

Student Profile

College is what you make of it and DePauw gives you the opportunity to make the most of your college experience.  I wouldn’t trade my experiences these past few years for anything.  I’m here because of the network of people, the supportive environment, the prestige of the college name behind you, and everything else that helps you make the most of your opportunities.
