Early Decision

Early Decision is an option for students who, early in their senior year, are sure that they wish to enroll at DePauw. If you submit an Early Decision application, be sure to download the Early Decision Candidate's Agreement to read and sign with your parents and counselor. This form is located in the Additional Forms section of the Admission Materials Checklist. The agreement states that DePauw is your first-choice university and, if accepted, you will attend DePauw and withdraw all applications pending elsewhere. We take this commitment seriously and expect that you will also.

Early Decision Dates
November 1	Completed application and Early Decision Candidate's Agreement due.
December 1	Notification of Early Decision acceptance begins.
January 1	Final notification of Early Decision admission decision.
January 5	Those applying for need-based financial aid must submit the DePauw University Application for Financial Aid or PROFILE to the financial aid office. In addition, those applying for need-based financial aid must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to the federal processor as soon as possible following the collection of your income tax data. It is important that you apply on time so that we may make your financial aid award in advance of the February 15 enrollment deposit due date.
February 15	The non-refundable enrollment deposit required to reserve your place in the class is due.

Early Action

Students who wish to receive an earlier notification of their admission to DePauw may use the Early Action option. Under this program, students are notified of their admission decision by February 1 and have until May 1 to submit their $400 acceptance deposit confirming their intention to enroll in DePauw.

Early Action Dates
December 1	Completed application due.
December 19	Notification of acceptance begins
January 31	Applicants are notified of the admission decision. * Early Action files not completed by December 1 will automatically roll into the Regular Decision pool.
February 15	Those applying for need-based financial aid must submit the DePauw University Application for Financial Aid or PROFILE to the Financial Aid Office. In addition, those applying for need-based financial aid must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to the federal processor. Financial aid awards will be mailed as soon as information for both these forms is received and processed.
March 1	Early Action students are notified of their scholarship decision.
May 1	Deadline for submission of non-refundable $400 enrollment deposit.

Regular Decision

Regular decision is our final application option for the year for non-transfer students. Admission notices will be mailed by April 1.

Regular Decision Dates
December 15	Notification of acceptance begins.
February 1	Completed application due.
