Financial Aid Deadlines

Prospective Students

Submit Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)CSS/PROFILE (or DePauw Financial Aid Application)
  January 5 Early Decision Financial aid notification mailed by February 1st.
  February 15 Early Action
& Regular Decision
Financial aid notification mailed by March 20th.
Deadline to be considered for Merit-Based Scholarships (including RectorHolton Scholarships)
  February 1 Prospective Students Complete admission application must be submitted by this date for merit scholarship consideration.
Special Need-Based Scholarship Deadlines
    February 10 Malpas Trust Scholarship In addition to the scholarship application, students must also submit the FAFSA and the DePauw Financial Aid Application by this earlier deadline in order to be considered.
  February 15 Bonner Scholar Program Separate application is NOT required, however, students must have a completed admission application and submit the FAFSA and CSS/PROFILE (or DePauw Financial Aid Application) by this date.
Student/Parent completed, signed copy of prior year federal income tax return including all pages, schedules, and W-2 forms
  April 1 Prospective Students Submit tax returns by this date in order to receive a final need-based award prior to May 1st. Need-based awards are estimated until receipt of final tax returns and W-2 forms.
FAFSA Corrections
  May 15 Indiana Residents Eligible Indiana students who receive an edit notification from the State Student Assistance Commission of Indiana (SSACI) concerning their FAFSA application must make the requested changes or forfeit state gift assistance.

Returning Students

  March 1 Returning Students FAFSAs received after March 10th are ineligible for state-funded gift assistance.

  May 1 Returning Students Submit tax returns by this date in order to receive need-based award notifications prior to June 1st.
