any of the Frequently Asked Questions about the Admissions have direct links to topical pages. The others are answered here.
Do I have to interview?
Interviews are highly recommended, but not required. We encourage all students to plan a campus visit and see for themselves all that DePauw offers. If you are interested in scheduling a personal admission interview while we are in your local area please make arrangements with the officer for your area.
When should I apply?
Our admission process includes three deadlines; Early Decision: November 1, Early Notification: December 1, and Regular Decision: February 1. In general, we recommend that students apply when their application is the best it can be, including the submission of the strongest SAT or ACT scores and most current GPA. Feel free to contact an admission officer for further recommendations at 800.247.2495 or admission@depauw.edu.
Is there a separate application for the Programs of Distinctions?
Yes. Each program has a separate application. Click here to find further information. The deadline for all applications for the Programs of Distinction is February 1.
Can I apply to DePauw using the Common Application?
Yes. Apply using the Common Application Online and we will waive the $40 fee!
What is the application fee?
Applying on-line either through DePauw or the Common Application is FREE. There is a $40 application fee for paper applications submitted.
Does DePauw prefer the SAT or the ACT?
We require the submission of official SAT or ACT scores. We do not prefer one over the other. If students take the tests multiple times, we will consider the highest score we have at the time of application review.
Does DePauw consider the writing sections of the SAT and ACT?
DePauw does require a writing score from either the SAT or the ACT.
What scholarships does DePauw offer?
All students are considered for academic merit scholarships at the time they apply for admission. [View a list of scholarships and financial aid information].
