Group Visit Policy
Group visits are primarily meant for academically-prepared high school students (seniors and juniors in particular – we may consider second-semester sophomores) who are interested in learning more about DePauw University. Group visit requests are honored on a first-come, first-served basis and as scheduling limitations allow.
Group visit schedules will typically allow a group to have a private campus tour and a presentation/Q&A session with an admission representative. Visits are scheduled in two-hour time frames to accommodate both the tour and admission presentation.
We welcome group visits on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays during the months of February, March, May, June, July, August, September, October and November (with some exceptions during holidays and school breaks). Due to space constraints, we may not be able to accommodate groups larger than 75 students.
Plan to have at least 1 adult chaperone for every ten students.
If the number of visitors in your group changes after you have reserved your date, please contact us no later than three days in advance to confirm your total number.
Have your students prepare questions to ask during the visit.
Encourage everyone in your group to wear comfortable shoes and dress appropriately for the weather.
Leave for DePauw early and allow enough time for possible delays. Keep in mind, Greencastle is located within the eastern time zone all year.
Arrive on time. If you are running late, call 765.658.4100 so we can attempt to adjust your itinerary. Please realize that facilities and staff schedules are limited. In the event of a late arrival, some of the scheduled activities may need to be canceled.
We ask that you be mindful of the fact that in most of the areas you will be visiting, people are working or classes are taking place. Please ensure that everyone in your group is respectful of DePauw students, staff and facilities.
All visit requests and planning should be done with Anna Logan, Admission Visit Coordinator. Anna can be reached at the following:
