There are 80 days until our 50th reunion!
Our class of 1960 50th reunion will open on June 9 with a 5:30 p.m. reception hosted by DePauw University’s 19th President, Dr. Brian W. Casey. The exclusive event for the 50th reunion class will occur in the President’s home, “The Elms.”
Other “Super ’60” highlights of Alumni Reunion Weekend are discussions on medical ethics, “Breaking the Glass Ceiling” (the stories of successful women in our class), the evolution of college athletics, and a discussion of core values: “This I Believe.” These conversations will feature classmates, including but not limited to Phyllis Leppert, Bob Mitchell, Dick Tomey, Brenda Stiers, Bob Darnall and Helen Lockhart Smiley. We will also be treated to a concert hosted by Larry Clarkson and showcasing class talent: The Lost Chords, Patti Fogle Wallace and Maggie McElwain Kemper.
All of these and other events will build toward the All Alumni Celebration, which begins with our class’s triumphant processional into Kresge Auditorium, and features an address by President Casey as well as remarks from our own class speaker. We will continue the celebration in style that evening with a classy dinner in the Union Building followed by an outdoor all-alumni concert by the Cool City Swing Band and lead singer Shannon Gath Forsell ’88.
Registration will be available beginning in March. In the meantime, be sure you are on the list of those planning to attend!
