Regional Volunteers

Regional volunteers are an important part of our alumni programming across the country. We have 12 established regional alumni councils and clubs that plan events of all types throughout the year.

This webpage contains important and useful tools for event coordinators including: an event checklist, budget planner, post-event evaluation form, and invitation information to e-mail to our office.
These tools should help to make event planning much easier for your group!

tiger pawFamily Pancake Breakfast--Indianapolis
The Indianapolis Regional Council has hosted a pancake breakfast for quite a few years. The event is held at a local church on a Saturday morning in the fall. Council members volunteer to cook the breakfast and the event has seen great attendance averaging 50 or so alumni. This is an example of a great family friendly event that has few expenses and is a relatively easy event for organizers to put together. Private Tour of the newly re-opened National Portrait Gallery--Greater Washington DCDPU tiger
The Greater Washington DC Regional Council hosted an event at the newly remodeled and re-opened National Portrait Gallery in October 2006. This cultural event was very successful with approximately 50 alumni and friends in attendance who enjoyed a docent led tour of the galleries and dinner afterwards at the popular Gordon Biersch Brewery. The gallery tour was free and dinner was easy to organize, with the coordinator making a reservation for the group and everyone ordering off of the menu and paying individually.
