Duckworth named to all-America team
DePauw junior back Cara Duckworth has been named to the 2000 AstroTurf/NFHCA Division III All-American third team. Duckworth, who was a second team all-America choice last season, scored 10 goals this season and led the Tigers with 10 assists. The complete team can be found here.

Three players named to NFHCA all-Great Lakes Region team
DePauw's Cindy Davis, Cara Duckworth and Lisa Goecke earned first team honors on the AstroTurf/National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division III Great Lakes Regional All-America team. The complete team is listed here.

Tigers drop second straight heartbreaker
Sewanee knocked off the Tigers 2-1 in the intraregional tournament consolation game at Rhodes  as they scored the game-winning goal with just 15 seconds left in regulation. DePauw trailed 1-0 before Lisa Goecke tied the game on an assist from Allie John with 24 minutes left in the first half. The Tigers finish the season at 15-5.

DePauw falls to Wittenberg in second overtime of regional semifinals
Wittenberg scored with just 13 seconds left in the second overtime to take a 2-1 victory over DePauw in the semifinals of the intraregional tournament at Rhodes. The Tigers trailed 1-0 at halftime, but Elissa Cady forced the overtime with a goal nine minutes into the second half. Wittenberg outshot DePauw 16-14 and held an 18-3 advantage in corners. The Tigers take on Sewanee in the consolation game.

Tigers win KIT for second straight year
DePauw improved to 15-3 on the season as they won all three matches at the Kentucky-Indiana-Tennessee Tournament to capture the tournament title. The Tigers opened with a 4-0 win over Lindenwood before defeating Centre 2-1 in the semifinals. In the championship game, DePauw made Cindy Davis' first-half goal hold up in a 1-0 win over Sewanee. DePauw shuts out Kenyon 2-0
Cindy Davis and Lisa Goecke each scored goals and Jennica Smith recorded the shutout as the Tigers won at Kenyon 2-0. The win lifted the Tigers' record to 12-3. Statistics

Tigers fall at Denison, 3-1
Host Denison snapped the Tigers' seven-game win streak with a 3-1 win over DePauw. The Big Red jumped out to a 2-0 first-half lead before Megan Curran scored late in the second half on an assist from Marnie Shephard. Denison added a goal in the final two minutes for the 3-1 victory. Statistics

DePauw wins seventh straight in 3-1 victory over Rhodes
Appropriately, in the final regular season home game of the season, seniors scored all the goals for the Tigers in a 3-1 win over visiting Rhodes. Elissa Cady, Lisa Goecke and Marnie Shephard each scored in the win which was DePauw's seventh straight and raised the overall record to 11-2.

Tigers beats Earlham 3-0
The Tigers picked up their sixth straight win and improved to 10-2 on the season as they shut out Earlham 3-0. All three scores came in the first half and were by Cindy Davis, Lisa Goecke and Cara Duckworth. Jennica Smith recorded her fifth shutout of the season. Stats

DePauw blanks Rhodes, 3-0
The Tigers scored three second-half goals to win their fifth straight game by a 3-0 decision over Rhodes. Cindy Davis, Elissa Cady and Cara Duckworth each scored in the final 35 minutes and Jennica Smith posted the shutout in goal for the 9-2 Tigers. Stats

Tigers top Sewanee in overtime, 3-2
Lisa Goecke's goal one minute into overtime lifted DePauw to its eighth win in 10 games this season as the Tigers defeated Sewanee, 3-2. The Tigers got on the board first as Cara Duckworth scored on a penalty stroke. Cindy Davis scored the other DePauw goal. Stats

Goecke's late goal lifts Tigers to win
Lisa Goecke scored with just 3:30 remaining in the second half on an assist from Mary Murrill to give the Tigers a 1-0 victory over visiting Ohio Wesleyan. Jennica Smith recorded one save in posting the shutout in goal. Stats

DePauw defeats Bellarmine, 8-2
The Tigers won their second straight game as they defeated visiting Bellarmine 8-2. Megan Curran, Lisa Goecke and Cara Duckworth scored two goals apiece to lead the Tigers. Stats

Tigers win two of three on road
The Tigers are 5-2 after taking two of three games over the weekend. They opened with a 6-0 win at Transylvania on the strength of a pair of goals from Lisa Goecke. DePauw then dropped a 2-1 overtime decision at Centre and followed with a 4-0 win at Hanover. In the Hanover game, Cindy Davis scored twice and assisted on another. Tigers split weekend games to move to 3-1 on season
The Tigers lost at Wittenberg by a 4-1 count on Saturday before coming back to defeat Oberlin 2-1 in a game that was decided with penalty strokes. Wittenberg scored two goals in each half to take a 4-0 lead before Lisa Goecke added a late goal with an assist from Alisa Heytow. Against Oberlin, DePauw trailed 1-0 before Kari Koeper knotted the score at 1-1  with just 7:30 left in regulation on an assist from Cara Duckworth. After two scoreless overtimes, the game went to penalty strokes where the Tigers scored twice to Oberlin's one.

DePauw rolls to 10-1 win over Lindenwood to cap perfect weekend
The Tigers scored five goals in ea half on the way to a 10-1 win over visiting Lindenwood. Lisa Goecke scored three times, while Cara Duckworth and Kari Koeper each added a pair in the win. Megan Curran, Mary Murrill and Cindy Davis each scored once. Jennica Smith recorded two saves in goal for the 2-0 Tigers. STATS

Tigers top Wooster in overtime in season opener
Elissa Cady's goal in overtime lifted the Tigers to a 2-1 victory over visiting Wooster in the season opener. Lisa Goecke scored  the Tigers first goal before the Scots forced the overtime. STATS

Gasbarra Named Head Coach
Carla Gasbarra, a 1995 DePauw graduate, has been named the University's field hockey coach. She replaces Judy George who announced her retirement in April after over 30 years of coaching. Complete Release
